My sister came to visit us back in May. If you know my sister, you will know that she is crazy for coffee. We have a really cute local coffee shop in town that serves AMAZING breakfast. It only seemed right to take her there. We ordered breakfast, and of course, coffee. That day they had a special for peanut butter mocha coffee that you could get either as a frozen coffee or as a hot coffee. Jon ordered the frozen version. We crave that drink so much we had to start figuring out how to make it ourselves, because we were spending too much money at the coffee shop.
So let me tell you a little more about this drink…
If you like buckeye candy or any combination of peanut butter and chocolate, this drink will be right up your alley. It is a buckeye in a glass! It is SUPER easy to make. Put everything in a blender and blend until smooth. Could it be any easier? (Maybe, if you want to drive to the coffee shop and pay for them to make one.)
Ingredients:
2 cups ice cubes
1 and 1/2 cups cold brew coffee
4 tbsp non-dairy creamer powder
2-3 tbsp creamy peanut butter
2-3 tbsp chocolate syrup
Whipped cream, for garnish (optional)
Buckeye candy, for garnish (optional), see 3-Ingredient Buckeyes for recipe
Place the ice cubes, coffee, creamer, peanut butter, and chocolate syrup in a blender.
Blend according to manufacturer’s instructions until smooth.
Pour into a glass and top with whipped cream and garnish with a buckeye candy. Makes about 2 servings, but I usually drink it all myself (It’s too good to share sometimes).
Time to do the happy dance, because the Frozen Buckeye Coffee is THAT delicious!!!
