Jon’s Grilled Italian Chicken

What a lot of people don’t know, is that Jon has started becoming a pretty good cook himself. Here’s one of his recipes, that he wanted to share. It’s really pretty good, and our go-to chicken recipe.

Here’s what you’ll need:

1 cup of Olive Garden Signature Italian Salad Dressing – 20 ounce (pack of 2)
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 tsp garlic powder (divided in ½)
¼ tsp dried crushed red pepper flakes (divided in ½)
¼ tsp salt (divided in ½)
¼ tsp ground black pepper (divided in ½)

 

Season each side of chicken breasts with 1/8 tsp salt, 1/8 tsp ground pepper (1/8 tsp of each on each side).

Pour ½ cup of dressing into bottom of marinating bowl.  Sprinkle in ½ tsp garlic powder and 1/8 tsp red pepper flakes.

Place the chicken breasts into marinating bowl in a single layer.

Pour the remaining ½ cup dressing on top of chicken.  Sprinkle the remaining ½ tsp garlic powder and 1/8 tsp red pepper flakes.

Place lid on bowl.

Place in refrigerator and allow to marinate at least an hour.  We usually let marinate for about 6 hours.

Pre-heat the grill to about 350-375 degrees Fahrenheit.

Once grill is heated, place each chicken breast onto grill carefully using tongs.

Turn the chicken halfway through cooking using tongs.  Chicken is done when the internal temperature reads 165 degrees Fahrenheit when checked with a meat thermometer.

Serve it up with your favorite sides such as some baked macaroni and cheese!
